This project involved the replacement of the superstructure of a Conrail railroad bridge over Avenue P in the City of Newark. Due to the inadequate under clearance over Avenue P, trucks would constantly hit the existing bridge resulting in sever damages to the existing steel riveted through girders. The newly constructed superstructure raised the extension of the existing abutment, and adjustment of the railroad tracks on top of the bridge deck. The project also included the rehabilitation and drainage improvement of Avenue P.
