H&H Analysis and Stormwater Projects

SUNY College of Technology at Canton Convocation Athletic Recreation Center, Canton, NY

This project involved the addition of a new meeting and recreational center and the upgrade of all existing sporting facilities inside the venue. The new recreational center utilized about 50 acres of land and a sophisticated stormwater management. In addition, the project incorporated a newly designed site drainage system that took into consideration low impact development as well as the integration of the roof drain with the site storm water management system.

In addition, the new recreation center included a new sport center with a gymnasium, swimming pool, ice rink, training and athletic center, training facilities, office and administration, and other supporting facilities. The new recreation center used about 50 acres of land and would add the much-needed sports center for the State University of New York (SUNY) at Canton.

PennDOT SR 4013, Section A02, Bridge Replacement, Mifflin County, PA

This project involved the replacement of an existing multi I-beam bridge with a new precast concrete box culvert and any associated roadway improvements. The existing bridge is classified as structurally deficient and functionally obsolete due to aging and deterioration, and substandard alignment and profile. The new structure will have the increased structure width and improved alignment as well as safety features and remove the current speed limit posting at the bridge.

The project involved a crucial aspect of hydraulic and hydrological analysis, specifically determining the hydraulic opening required for the bridge. The analysis and culvert design were performed by a program called HEC-RAS.
